Brown's back in town

Tennessee Tech did indeed make it official yesterday, announcing Cookeville native Watson Brown as the new head football coach. There's an exhaustive release on the move up at TTU's official site. There's audio of Brown's statements and of Tech athletics director Mark Wilson.

The release details Brown's entire athletic experience, from his time at Cookeville High School all the way up to his most recent job with UAB. They could have headlined the release "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Watson Brown's Career But Were Afraid to Ask."

JaxSinfonian - Ok, these new coaches come from your neck of the woods. Tell me, do you think that they are good hires? Tech's guy doesn't impress me a whole lot but what do I know? The Samford guy doesn't seem to be the typical young, up and coming coach either. But, who is to say that is the best way to go?

I'm not JaxSinfonian, but Sully could be a good hire. He is very respected in the High School HC ranks. Brown on the other hand it not what I would call a good hire. Brown should not try to recruit in Alabama for a while as he is being played as the bad guy in the Brown v. Sullivan UAB battle.
