Morning roundup

Here's a quick roundup of what's on the Web in the O-Valley this morning:

The Meter, Tennessee State's student newspaper, has a preview of the Tigers' season-opening game against Alabama A&M in the John Merritt Classic. The story says A&M can expect to take home at least $140,000, and a portion of the ticket revenue, expected to be around $300,000. The game has lined up $150,000 in corporate sponsorships.

The (Clarksville, Tenn.) Leaf-Chronicle says Austin Peay coach Carroll McCray is hoping the Tennessee Titans use of his school's facility for training camp will raise the Govs' profile as they return to scholarship ball and give them a recruiting boost.
