Just checked in during my dinner break here at work, and according the scoreboard at espn.com both Samford and Tech are up 7-0 early in the first quarter. Go OVC!
sportsnetwork.com has Tech tied 7-7 with UTC, with 8:23 to play in the first. Samford-Miles remains 7-0.
Samford now up 14-0 with 3:57 to play in the first. TTU-UTC still tied with 2 minutes left in the first.
Go with sportsnetwork.com for scores. They seem to be updating more frequently than espn.com. The CNN-SI Web site is useless.
UTC up 14-7 with just under four minutes until halftime.
Now 21-7 UTC, with 1:14 to play in the half. Not looking good for the home team in Cookeville.
Samford's still up 14-0 with 6:10 to play in the half.
I've got an eye on the South Carolina-Mississippi State game on ESPN behind me. Gotta see how that Starkville team matches up against somebody's Gamecocks. Anyway, they just flashed the Samford-Miles score. 17-7 SU, which is fresher than what I see online.
Harrumph. Final score: UTC 31, TTU 7. Bad offense, bad defense. The one good thing was the weather was perfect for football, odd for August.
I blame the logo.
Just checked in on the score after a crazy few hours here at work. Dang. I guess Jax State will have to exact its own justice from Rodney Allison.
On the bright side, Samford won 37-7. Of course, they were "supposed to."
